Using your eID is the standard login procedure to access the various online services provided by various Belgian authorities. This also guarantees the highest level of protection. For situations where you are unable to login using your eID or for which no eID is not required, other digital keys can be used. These digital keys too are safe to login to online government services but they do not give access to all (components of these) online services.
